The Remote Project Manager (PM) is the operational leader responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering client-facing technology projects with precision and technical depth. This role requires a Project Manager who is not only strong in organization and communication, but who also brings a high level of technical understanding—capable of engaging confidently with engineers, validating technical designs, anticipating technical risks, and ensuring deliverables meet GXA’s standards.
The Remote PM works within GXA’s Service Delivery organization and plays a critical role in implementing infrastructure upgrades, network projects, cloud migrations, cybersecurity deployments, onboarding initiatives, and system modernization efforts. While this role does not perform hands-on engineering on production systems, the PM must possess the technical knowledge to interpret engineering requirements, understand architecture decisions, evaluate project feasibility, and guide clients through technical discussions.
The PM ensures projects progress smoothly by maintaining alignment across teams, monitoring schedules, managing dependencies, and keeping all stakeholders informed. This includes maintaining awareness of project budgets, resource allocation, and billable activities so that financial performance remains accurate and predictable throughout the project lifecycle. The PM helps remove barriers, keeps tasks moving, and ensures that both timelines and financial milestones stay on track.
The Remote PM also plays a key role in identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and automate routine project activities, ensuring the delivery process becomes increasingly efficient, consistent, and scalable over time.
Success in this role requires disciplined project execution, strong technical aptitude, financial awareness, clear communication, and the ability to drive alignment across cross-functional engineering teams. The PM is the orchestrator who ensures projects are delivered predictably, accurately, and with the technical rigor GXA is known for.
