Reports to : Procurement Director Logistics – Europe

Work Level : WL2

Location : Karachi, Pakistan

Job Purpose

Responsibilities

  • End to end sourcing process from internal needs understanding, through definition and implementation of the right procurement strategy for the scope and running of sourcing events (Rfx), leading negotiations, contracting as well as contract approval cycles and signing.
  • Build market intelligence to understand cost drivers, inflation development and potential new service providers / technologies that could disrupt the business and help extra capacity creation.
  • Work with the PTAB stakeholders to develop the appropriate network development strategies.
  • Business partnering to the logistics operational team in the markets to deliver fuel for growth projects to achieve cost and service level targets and drive benchmark activities.
  • Develop, implement and drive the (annual) procurement strategies for the PTAB region.
  • 3 Year Strategic Plan Development.
  • Proactively identify and deliver Savings, Inflation Mitigation and Cash to (over) achieve the set targets through identification and proposals for cost reduction / continuous performance improvement (supplier) opportunities.
  • Annual Business Plan development with the Global procurement team and Partnering with Finance on tracking performance on a monthly basis.
  • Drive Supplier management in line with their strategic importance to the business.
  • Joint Business Planning with key suppliers to drive value delivery (Partner to Win).
  • Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers.
  • Develop supplier service Levels, track and analyze supplier performance data, proposing priorities for performance improvement and follow up monitoring actions.
  • Point of escalation for supplier non‑performance as appropriate.
  • Act as point of contact for the business issues / questions relating to assigned portfolio.
  • Manage escalations / disruption with suppliers and the business.
  • Driving Sustainability initiatives for CO2 reduction and innovation relevant for Logistics within those markets.
  • Develop & lead the Logistics procurement digital agenda for this portfolio.

Qualifications & Experiences

  • Minimum 7 years in Procurement or Supply Chain roles with understanding and experience of Logistics.
  • Understanding and experience of Logistics and logistics procurement.
  • Strong negotiation skills (Commercial and Contractual).
  • Demonstrated business and commercial acumen.
  • Procurement Strategy development and implementation.
  • Excellent Communication skills.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and peers effectively.
  • Experience of leading, managing and developing teams.
  • Familiarity with eAuction platforms and auction strategy development preferred.
