DOT / FMCSA Compliance Manager

Role Description This is a full‑time remote role for a DOT / FMCSA Compliance Manager. The Compliance Manager will oversee all DOT and FMCSA compliance requirements, including monitoring driver qualification files, ensuring adherence to federal and state laws, and maintaining accurate documentation. The role includes conducting audits, providing compliance training for drivers and staff, and implementing preventive measures to ensure safety and legal operational standards. The Compliance Manager will also ensure the company meets all regulations related to vehicle inspections, hours of service, and safety protocols.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations, compliance protocols, and standards

Experience in conducting audits and maintaining detailed compliance documentation

Proficiency in record‑keeping and reporting, including reviewing driver qualification files and hours‑of‑service records

Effective training and communication skills to educate drivers and staff on compliance best practices

Excellent organizational and attention‑to‑detail skills

Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote capacity

Prior experience in transportation or logistics management is a plus

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field is preferred
