What is Assistant Manager Functional Audits - MMBL?
As an Assistant Manager you will play a key role in executing and delivering audit engagements. Your responsibilities will include carrying out audit programs, maintaining high-quality work standards and ensuring timely deliverables. You will also contribute to risk assessments, prepare audit reports and oversee the quality and accuracy of audit documentation.
What Assistant Manager Functional Audits - MMBL does?
Production :
Execute the approved internal audit plan and complete all audit engagements for the unit within the approved turnaround time.
Implement effective audit techniques and procedures and utilize documentation skills which adequately support audit findings within a timely manner. Evaluate and analyze the effectiveness of more complex procedures and internal controls within the assigned area / task, using appropriate audit skills, techniques, and judgment. Completes standard paperwork and questionnaires to confirm internal controls.
Identification, development, and documentation of audit issues, recommendations for improvement and design and approval of action plans.
Robust follow-up mechanism in accordance with SBP guidelines and audit policy. Closure of maximum audit issues through on spot or before closure of audit rectification and keeping long term follow-up issues to minimum.
Quality :
Perform audit engagements in accordance with the international standards & the approved audit methodology. Implement the process audit methodology (where applicable). Demonstrate how the audit engagement adds value by contributing to business objectives.
Develop a high level of analytical skills and evaluate the effectiveness of procedures, segregation of duties and internal controls within a corporate area or enterprise wide project.
Assist line manager in Quality Assurance (QA) reviews of unit and in external QA.
Communication :
Ensure that the results of internal audit, advisory & fraud examination engagements are adequately discussed with management at the required level and oral presentations on a timely basis. Implement the revised audit report structure and the rating criteria.
Resolve disagreements on the audit findings to the extent possible. Escalate where disagreements are not resolved to the line manager.
Develops and maintains management relationships through individual contacts and group meetings.
Represents the unit when needed / requested on organizational project teams, at management and with external organizations.
Training & Career Development :
Pursues professional development opportunities, including external and internal training and professional association memberships, and shares information gained with the co-workers.
Stay updated with the latest SBP & other regulatory guidelines and professional pronouncements.
Audit Management System :
Implement Audit Management System (AMS) as per defined guidelines and perform all audits in AMS.
What are we looking for and what does it require to be Assistant Manager Functional Audits - MMBL?
Minimum bachelor's degree in accounting & finance or a related field with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in auditing.
Part or qualified ACCA, CA, ICMA would be a added advantage. Certifications like CIA, CISA would be preferred.
Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills are essential along with the ability to manage and lead the assignments.
