We're looking for a Full-Stack Engineer who excels at tackling complex problems and shipping high-impact features. In this role, you'll create cutting‑edge AI‑powered products that reshape how individuals learn and develop. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional quality while ensuring our systems remain scalable, maintainable, and meaningful.

TeachTap : Uses AI to animate historical figures within a TikTok‑style learning platform.
TeachTales : Captures student attention through personalized, enchanting stories that enhance understanding.
TimeBack : Functions as a learning companion integrated into existing applications, offering proactive student coaching.
Athena : Employs AI‑generated videos and assessments to produce quantifiable academic results.

This position centers on creating tangible impact through functional software. You'll leverage AI tooling and cloud‑native infrastructure to construct full‑stack solutions addressing genuine challenges—not simply completing task lists. We expect rapid delivery without sacrificing quality, selecting the most straightforward correct approach that harmonizes immediate velocity with sustained maintainability.

What You Will Be Doing

Develop and Deploy Full‑Stack Capabilities : Own user stories from conception through delivery; clarify needs, architect scalable systems, implement backend and frontend logic, conduct comprehensive testing, and release to production.

Identify and Resolve Defects : Diagnose problems via root cause investigation, address underlying issues (rather than surface symptoms), and prevent regressions through intelligent testing strategies.

Elevate Code Standards : Assess plans and pull requests to maintain clarity, simplicity, and accuracy, preventing technical debt from accumulating.

What You Won’t Be Doing

Creating pixel‑perfect interfaces or intricate backend systems as ends in themselves.

Executing specifications mechanically without grasping the underlying problem.

Spending time in prolonged meetings debating roadmaps and priorities or coordinating with stakeholders.

Simply delivering features; you'll own the responsibility for solving genuine problems.

Full Stack Engineer Key Responsibilities

Applying AI to create software that addresses authentic user needs, deploys rapidly, and remains sustainable over time.

Basic Requirements

At least 4 years of experience writing production code for web applications' frontend and backend (any framework).

Strong ownership : Demonstrated experience owning complete modules, product features, or teams, not just contributing siloed tasks.

Independent execution : The ability to unblock yourself, set your own pace, and find paths forward in ambiguous situations.

Experience in using generative AI in your day‑to‑day development work.

Working with Us

This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD / hour, which equates to $100,000 USD / year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
