Chief Compliance Officer

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and monitor compliance policies, procedures, and controls in line with the regulatory framework, ensure cybersecurity measures meet regulatory standards. Lead regulatory compliance across all domains - including AML / CFT, data protection & privacy, marketing communications, customer onboarding (KYC), and any other requirements applicable to NBFCs under SECP, SBP, FMU and related authorities. Ensure timely and accurate submission of all regulatory filings and returns. Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and guidelines relevant to NBFCs, and advise management on implications. Maintain awareness of FATF requirements, international sanctions, and cross-border data transfer restrictions relevant to NBFC operations. Conduct internal compliance reviews to assess the effectiveness of controls and identify areas of risk. Maintain records of all regulatory filings, correspondence, approvals, and compliance-related documents to ensure traceability and audit readiness with SECP, SBP, Stock Exchange, and other regulators. Act as liaison with regulators. Provide compliance training and awareness to employees. Report regularly to the Board / Management on compliance status, risks, and remediation actions. Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred). Mandatory : Minimum 5 years of compliance experience in a bank, NBFC or other financial institution. Strong knowledge of applicable laws related to the financial sector specifically SECP NBFC regulations, AML / CFT guidelines, SBP prudential regulations, data protection, and governance standards. Experience in handling audits, inspections, and regulatory queries. Familiarity with digital lending, and fintech operations. Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills. High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
