The Role : Associate Product Manager, Data Management Solutions

The Location : Islamabad, Pakistan

The Team : The Data Management Solutions (Platforms) team focuses on defining, managing and supporting workflow solutions that deliver our best-of-breed data to professionals across the markets and segments we serve. This team collaborates to drive continuous improvements in product innovation and usability. The Platforms team is responsible for the channels through which data is delivered (API, Feed or Cloud). Various technology stacks are utilized to accomplish this and the team manages development and growth of these channels, collaborating with Data Product Managers, Technology, and Commercial groups.

The Impact : As a part of the Platforms Team, you would be involved in enterprise-wide initiatives and enhancing our value proposition across the industry and with clients by delivering quality data through various channels. You will work with Sales across locations to increase our book of business.

Role Summary :

  • Contribute to the success of the various DMS Platforms by understanding larger business goals and delivering on objectives
  • Use prior technology knowledge and grow according to industry trends
  • Possess knowledge on data sets and packages available on Xpressfeed & Market Place

Responsibilities / Job Function :

  • Collaborate and interact with various technology teams to ensure smooth running and growth of current products
  • Develop relationships with Sales Reps to optimize the client base
  • Be proactive in collaborating with Product Management and Sales across locations
  • Identify client requirements by engaging with potential and actual clients
  • Write high-quality SQL to retrieve data as requested by Sales Reps
  • Work on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to build solutions
  • Coordinate with cross-functional content teams as needed
  • Work with Client Support to enhance client understanding and experience
  • Analyze large / complex data sets and stay up to date with product knowledge
  • Design, code, and implement library of queries / views / extracts using Snowflake, SparkSQL, MSSQL Server
  • Perform administrative duties and some project management, including maintaining a code repository
  • Gather internal and external user requirements to identify new features
  • Collaborate with visualization and data science teams to develop solutions
  • Write advanced queries and views in SQL
  • Design and present dashboards, reports, and visualizations (Tableau) to help clients maximize data value
  • Maintain quality by staying current with industry standards
  • Review objectives and specifications to improve programs

    • Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Accounting, Finance or related field
  • At least 1 year of Product Management, Technology, Data, or related experience including enterprise-wide data initiatives in financial services
  • Database and query building experience (SQL Server, Oracle or PostgreSQL)
  • Practical knowledge of Cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure)
  • Working knowledge of scripting languages (Python / JavaScript)
  • Exposure to Snowflake / Databricks is a plus
  • Knowledge of data delivery products within S&P Global Market Intelligence platforms and feeds is a plus
  • Past experience with Data Science / Visualization tools is a plus
  • Experience with Product Management functions and Agile / Scrum or SAFe is a plus
  • Deadline-driven with excellent time management

  • Team player with excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Great attention to detail and time-management
  • Flexible to work any shifts
