Job Roles / Responsibilities :
The principal purpose of this job is to provide expertise in cost estimation for construction projects. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, for Tender Documents by reviewing construction plans and specifications. Identifying discrepancies between BOQs, drawings and specifications prepared by the external Consultant. The position also requires verifying contractors' claims, conducting site remeasurements for valuation of IPCs and applying value engineering methods to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
Responsibilities include :
Reviewing construction plans and specification for preparation of cost estimates.
Preparation of Cost Estimates & BOQ for tender documents.
Identifying gaps between BOQ, Drawing & Specification prepared by the external consultant.
Carrying out site re-measurements for verification of IPCs.
Accessing / verifying RA's submitted by contractors as well as Contractor's Claims.
Applying value engineering methods, to propose cost-effective alternatives, for designs and materials that improve functionality while reducing costs without sacrificing quality.
Requirements :
Minimum BTech (Civil) from recognized institute.
Computer literacy is essential
Minimum Five years working experience in the field of construction work. Preference will be given to the candidate having experience in construction projects with reputable firms.
Technically strong in project costing and estimation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent follow ups skills.
Proficiency in related software.
Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with co-workers
Strong teamwork attitude and ability to motivate the team members
