The Department of Community Health Sciences (CHS) is the leading unit of its type in Pakistan, recognized regionally and internationally for the relevance, quality, and extent of its work in support of public health and the development of primary health care systems. It comprises of five major operational sections : Epidemiology & biostatistics, Health policy & management, Population & reproductive health, Environmental health & climate change, and non-communicable diseases & mental health.

This is a grant-funded contractual position.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for :

  • report to the Principal Investigator (PI) regarding field activities, administration, and project support
  • ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of research and data collection activities
  • supervise research staff and field teams to ensure adherence to study protocols
  • liaise with investigators, project teams, and field staff to coordinate research activities
  • monitor the progress of fieldwork and ensure accurate record-keeping
  • assist in data management and data analysis
  • prepare reports, manuscripts, and abstracts for publication as required
  • organise and maintain records of research materials and project documentation
  • ensure compliance with all research protocols and ethical standards
  • provide troubleshooting and strategic management support as needed
  • facilitate logistics for field activities and support community-based research implementation.

Requirements

You should have :

  • a master’s degree in a relevant field, preferably MSPH or MSc in Epidemiology and Biostatistics
  • at least two years of related work experience
  • strong project management, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills
  • proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office, STATA, and Google Colab
  • effective time management and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
  • strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • willingness to work actively in the communities and travel to field sites regularly.
