Job Role / Responsibilities :
The position is critical for the development and maintenance of AKU public facing website as well as AKU employee portal on MS SharePoint technology. The target audience and users of these sites are located in different geographic locations hence a thorough understanding of the organizational structure and good communication skills are an added advantage. Apart from this the position shall be responsible for development of mobile apps using cross-platform development. Specifically, you will be responsible for;
- Developing and maintaining SharePoint and .NET applications and gain knowledge of the existing applications, both from the technical and business perspective
- participating in all phases of application development, i.e. study, analysis, design, development, test and implementation
- undertaking activities for continuous professional development in line with the plan and keep abreast of latest developments in the profession
- operating within practices and procedures for smooth functioning of all operational services as per quality standards
- liaisoning with others / Sections / Departments for delivery of the results.
- providing T2 / T3 support for SharePoint implementations
- proactively identifying improvement areas and take steps to optimize the implementations.
Eligibility Criteria / Requirements :
Degree in Computer Science or related disciplines, Masters inComputer Science would be preferredstrong fundamentals of object-oriented programmingconversant with data modelling and analysis techniquesable to write queries and stored procedureshands-on software development experiencebe able to document procedural issues related to applicationshave adequate inter-personal skills to communicate with departmental usersable to influence internal customers on technical limitations and propose workarounds / possible solutionswork in a team for the operations, support & enhancements of AKU websitesgather business requirements and propose & agree on solutions with the customersupport existing .Net applications
