Job Role / Responsibilities :
You will work under the minimal supervision to provide expert-level experience in the repair, calibration, and maintenance of medical equipment, instrumentation and support systems used in health care delivery. You will provide assistance in performing technical evaluation of medical devices and follow the processes involved in the Hospital medical technology management program for the management of medical equipment throughout the organization to ensure safe, risk free (to highest possible extent), effective and efficient operations of the medical technology.
Specifically, will be responsible to :
- repair, install, maintain, calibrate, and inspect medical equipment
- perform timely preventive maintenance of medical equipment and keep records of data and documentation
- prepare documentation and maintain records pertaining to all repairs, replacement parts, calibrations, and modifications of medical equipment in computerize maintenance management
- perform Technical inspection of Medical Equipment / Spares / Consumable as per the maintenance procedure and department standard to ensure its meeting the requirement
- identify aging and obsolete patient care equipment to team leader and provide recommendation for replacement with justification
- monitor vendor during warranty and post warranty period as per the contract agreement and report the performance periodically' to Team Leader
- attend breakdown and calls on medical equipment as assigned by the team leader as per rota or as when required
- work specially on maintaining Respiratory devices, Anaesthesia system, patient monitoring, telemetry, infant incubators, also to monitor vendor services and report the periodic performance to Team leader.
Eligibility Criteria / Requirements :
Master’s degree in Biomedical engineering with minimum 3 years of work experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipmentBE in Biomedical with minimum 5 years of work experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipmentAssociate degree in Biomedical equipment technology with Minimum 7 years of work experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipmentconsiderable knowledge of electronics and ability to technical aspects of the operation, analyze, test, repair, and maintenance of electronic and electromechanical equipmentsubstantial knowledge of basic Anatomy, Physiology, and medical terminologiesshould have the knowledge of network based medical devices and integration (project experience will be preferred)knowledge of computer systems and applications (word. excel, power point)basic knowledge about Health care standard (JCI) and safety requirementsproject management experience related to medical technology will be (preferred).
