Job description

As an SDET II, you will be an integral part of our scrum team, ensuring that the software we deliver meets the highest standards of quality. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, design test strategies, and automate testing to expedite the delivery process. Your expertise in testing API, ETL, and web applications will play a crucial role in driving our products' success.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Agile Participation :

o   Actively participate in all agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.

o   Collaborate with the scrum team to ensure that quality is at the forefront of all development efforts.

  • Test Design & Automation :

    • o   Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts to support regression, functional, and integration testing.

    o   Implement best practices for test automation, emphasizing repeatability and scalability.

    o   Advocate for automated tests to be part of CI / CD pipeline ensuring timely feedback on code quality.

    o   Perform exploratory testing to uncover potential issues.

  • Testing Expertise :

    • o   Demonstrate proficiency in testing API, ETL processes, and web applications.

    o   Utilize various testing tools and technologies to achieve test coverage and effectiveness.

    o   Stay updated with newer technology and testing practices, suggesting improvements where applicable.

  • Defect Management :

    • o   Collaborate with the development team to ensure timely resolution of defects.

    o   Champion Quality by advocating for technical debt reduction.

    Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as an SDET or in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with fine-tuning large language models (LLMs) such as GPT.
  • Practical experience incorporating AI / ML models in real-world solutions or automation pipelines.
  • Some experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Good experience with Python scripting.
  • Familiarity with CI / CD processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI).
  • Good understanding of API, ETL, or web application testing.
  • Exposure to data pipelines, data preprocessing, and orchestration tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Apache Airflow).
  • Proactive in using AI tools like GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or custom LLM APIs in daily work.
