Responsibilities
Perform regular maintenance and calibration of medical equipment to ensure accurate and safe operation.
Diagnose and repair faults in biomedical instruments including imaging devices, monitoring systems, and laboratory equipment.
Monitor and maintain medical gas pipeline systems, ensuring continuous functionality and compliance with safety standards.
Conduct routine inspections to detect potential hazards or malfunctions in hospital biomedical systems, implementing corrective actions promptly.
Maintain detailed records of equipment performance, repairs, and maintenance schedules to support regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with clinical staff to understand equipment needs, providing technical support and training on the proper use and care of biomedical devices.
Adhere strictly to healthcare safety protocols, standards, and regulations to ensure a safe environment for patients and hospital staff.
Assist in the procurement process by evaluating and recommending biomedical equipment based on hospital requirements and technological advances.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in biomedical technology, integrating new methods into maintenance practices where applicable.
Respond promptly to emergency equipment failures to minimize downtime and ensure continuous patient care.
