Opportunity Overview

As we implement the Next Wave Strategy across EY, our MENA Service Lines are embarking on an exciting journey with a bold purpose : to build a better working world by transforming businesses through the power of people, technology, and innovation. In this context, the role of a General Ledger (GL) professional becomes increasingly vital to ensure accurate representation of firm liabilities and a clear balance sheet reflecting vendor positions.

To support the expansion of our MENA service lines, we are seeking additional expertise in the GL function.

Key Responsibilities

• Proficiently utilize SAP across all finance modules, demonstrating a solid understanding of ERP / SAP systems.
• Manage offshore work effectively, collaborating with the wider finance community across various Middle East (ME) offices from our Karachi location.
• Independently oversee GL functions while actively participating in and leading improvement initiatives over time.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of and adherence to all finance policies and processes.
• Serve as a primary resource for GL-related inquiries within the designated location.
• Conduct periodic reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
