About the Role

We’re looking for a QA Engineer to join a collaborative product team responsible for maintaining and improving a large‑scale HR and Payroll platform. You’ll play a key role in ensuring product quality by owning test strategy, designing and executing comprehensive test plans, and working closely with developers and product teams to deliver stable, high‑performing releases.

Responsibilities

• Test Strategy & Planning – Define and own test strategy and system documentation; derive detailed test cases from user stories, acceptance criteria, and system architecture.
• Testing Execution – Plan and execute functional, regression, exploratory, cross‑browser, and mobile tests across the product suite, including web portals, APIs, and mobile applications.
• API Testing – Conduct API validation and integration testing to ensure consistent and reliable backend communication.
• Data Validation – Use SQL to verify data integrity and validate backend transactions.
• Defect Management – Log, triage, and track issues using GitHub (or equivalent tools), verify fixes, and contribute to release readiness.
• Cross‑Team Collaboration – Work closely with developers, product managers, and UX designers to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Continuous Improvement – Contribute to automation opportunities, maintain test data, and help optimise QA processes within the pod.
