Confiz is seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer (Observability / Monitoring) to design, enhance, and maintain enterprise‑grade observability and monitoring solutions.
The candidate should be flexible to work from 2 PM to 11 PM PKT.
Responsibilities
- Implement and support observability frameworks across logs, metrics, and traces using Splunk, New Relic, and related telemetry tools.
- Develop and maintain CI / CD pipelines, monitoring integrations, and alerting systems for distributed applications.
- Collaborate with development, SRE, and platform teams to ensure proactive system visibility and performance optimization.
- Integrate observability solutions across AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud environments.
- Troubleshoot complex system and data ingestion issues related to telemetry and logging pipelines.
- Champion best practices in monitoring, alerting, and incident response automation.
- Mentor engineers and drive adoption of standardized observability and DevOps practices.
- (Nice to have) Lead or support observability migration projects (e.g., Splunk to New Relic).
Requirements
Hands‑on experience with Splunk (dashboards, alerts, queries, data ingestion) and New Relic (APM, Infrastructure, NRQL).Strong background in CI / CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps methodologies.Experience configuring log and metrics pipelines for Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices‑based architectures.Scripting experience with Python, Bash, or YAML for automation and API integrations.Experience deploying and monitoring workloads on AWS, GCP, or Azure.Knowledge of Java and Spring Boot, including instrumentation for APM and performance tuning.Exposure to messaging / event‑driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a plus.Familiarity with security scanning tools, secrets management, and access control best practices.Experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management is a plus.Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Location : Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan.
