The opportunity We are expanding our Accounting and IFRS advisory practice in the MENA region and looking for talented professionals with a strong background in financial statement preparation, carve‑out statements, and accounting IFRS support on specific transactions and scenarios. The role will be based in our Rapid Innovations Center of Excellence in Pakistan and will support client engagements across the MENA region.

Your Key Responsibilities

Financial statement preparation in compliance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local regulatory guidelines

Applying IFRS to complex transactions and scenarios

Preparing financial information for submission to management and regulators

Preparing carve‑out financial statements

Preparing management reports (including reporting templates)

You will plan, prepare, and review deliverables in various forms including Excel data books, written reports, presentations, and discussions with the client. Moreover, you will assist Managers / Senior Managers with business development proposals on existing or new clients, drive innovation in service delivery, and ensure delivery is in line with the firm’s Quality and Risk management requirements and expectations. You will also assist Managers / Senior Managers in developing or refreshing methodologies related to our existing and new solutions. You must contribute to various firm-wide initiatives such as learning and development programs, campus recruitment, knowledge sharing, practice development, and growth.

You also must take up project execution responsibility in a team or individually as per requirements and work plan, review work done by subordinates (if any), and provide qualitative inputs before submission of deliverables to seniors / client due to EY code of conduct, values, and quality standards.

To qualify for the role, you must have

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or financial management

Minimum of four years of work experience in financial consulting

Professional qualification such as ACCA, CA, CPA, or MBA in Finance

Big4 firm experience is advantageous

Practical experience in preparing financial statements, statutory reporting, application of IFRS, and preparing financial information for management and regulatory submission

Ability and willingness to travel within the Middle East as per project requirements

Flexibility to work in teams with diverse backgrounds

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
